Come take a look!

Prestwood Cellars Prestwood Cellars

Speaking of great wines, have you heard of Prestwood Cellars? Their new 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon was released last March with a 96 rating from Robert Parker and is particularly delicious. Lucky for you we have a special 15% discount for our valued clients only! Go grab the coupon code and enjoy a bottle! It will be a welcome addition to your cellar.

What Else is New?

Come take a tour of a beautiful Malaysian Mahogany custom wine cellar with an outstanding custom door. The double door is done in knotty alder with a wrought iron design; it is so amazing you simply have to see it in video and take the virtual walk through.

Luis Mora, our founder, was recently interviewed by Master Sommelier Michael Jordan, along with Elaine Villamin, owner of Eden Canyon Vineyards. We took the time to do a quick video chat with Elaine at Ruth’s Chris and thoroughly enjoyed her Estates vintages at the same time.

Don’t miss our latest and greatest episode of Chill & Grill with Matt Helm. He’s grilling up some lamb and pork for a birthday celebration and enjoying some fantastic Zinfandels along with it.

What Does YOUR Wine Cellar Look Like?

From our June Newsletter, our Silver Oak promotion was a success! We have some fantastic custom cellars being created with a six pack of Silver Oak Napa Valley being delivered to their completed cellar. We hope to have a picture gallery soon!

Do you have pictures of your completed wine cellar or wine racks? Send them over to Marketing@GrottoCellars.com so we can feature them in an upcoming newsletter or on our webiste. We love to see our examples out ‘in the wild’.

We hope you are enjoying your summer. Be sure to visit us on Twitter and “like” us on Facebook for upcoming news, coupons, and wine recommendations from the experts.

“It was BEYOND MY EXPECTATIONS!” – Steve Schwing

One great way to give your wine collection a wonderful treat is through giving them a perfect storage room to keep them safe and in good condition. And this is what Steve Schwing, from San Juan Capistrano, Ca, did for his wine bottles with a little help from us at Grotto Cellars.

Yes, you read that right! It’s another pleasurable success story for Grotto Cellars.

The Works

To guarantee every detail is completed accordingly to plan, Schwing intimately collaborated with Grotto Cellars discussing all factors which need more focus, attention and remodeling. From there, a well-thought out blueprint is laid presenting every feature required to be done during the construction process.

The wine cellar is customized using Malaysian Mahogany as the primary wood specie partnered with a rustic mahogany stain and lacquer to give an elegant and classy facade. It included light valance LED and puck lighting with a custom mural within the archway as the focal point.

To further maximize the room’s available space, it’s modified with multiple solid diamond bins, case bin storage, x-cubes, along with a crown and base molding.

And, to secure the bottles are kept in proper room temperature, a WCS-split system cooling unit with a RC-4600 condenser, coil and digital thermostat is also mounted.

Finally, as the final addition to secure the whole cellar itself, a Grotto Custom Double Door with auto door seal and knotty alder frame in iron design and dual pane glass are installed. The doors are finished with rustic mahogany to perfectly blend well to the cellars’ refined interior.

Schwing’s wine cellar is capable of holding up to 1500 wine bottles.
